Iraqi forces push towards IS stronghold of Tal Afar

Members of the Shia-led paramilitary Popular Mobilisation are fighting alongside Iraqi security forces seeking to regain control of Tal Afar from so-called Islamic State.

The town became the jihadist group's last urban stronghold in the north of the country last month after Mosul was retaken.
