Family of child hostage ‘cautiously hopeful’ for release

Abigail, a 3-year-old Israeli-American, was taken hostage by Hamas on 7 October after both her parents were killed.

As part of an deal agreed between Israel and Hamas, 50 Israeli hostages taken by Hamas will be released and 150 Palestinian women and teenagers held in Israeli jails freed.

Her great-aunt and cousin hope that she will be one of those freed. “Our hearts are with our little cousin,” family member Noa Naftali told CBS, the BBC's US partner.
