Destination London is a monthly look at how the organisers and London as a city are progressing towards the 2012 Olympics Games.

The BBC's Paddy O'Connell looks beyond the sporting hopes and dreams of the competitors and discovers the extraordinary lengths organisers are going to, to ensure the Olympics pass without a hitch.

We'll also look at what London is doing to maximise the moment when the eyes of the world will be on the capital. From the extra pressure placed on London's transport network to the cultural events planned across the capital in the summer, we'll delve deeply to chart the progress of the plans in the run up to the Games.
