White House's differing accounts of Bin Laden's death

The White House has corrected its version of events about the death of Osama Bin Laden.

The first account detailed how one of Bin Laden's wives was acting as a human shield for the al-Qaeda leader and suggested that Bin Laden was shot during a gun battle with US Navy Seals.

The updated account suggests his wife was not being used as a human shield and Bin Laden did not have any kind of weapon when he was killed.
