Live the story: Your questions to Laura Trevelyan

What's it like to 'live the story' during a major news event? To help bring the viewer close to the heart of BBC News reporting we will be holding a series of special Q & A sessions on Twitter with our global correspondents.

Five months ago Hurricane Sandy swept through the Caribbean and up the east coast of the US. The BBC's Laura Trevelyan was in a unique position to report from the ground on the trail of destruction left in its wake.

In the first of a series of live Twitter Q & A sessions, Laura will be answering your questions about her experience of working during Hurricane Sandy and other major news events she covered, such as the 2012 Newtown school shooting in Connecticut and the Haiti earthquake in 2010.

Laura will take your questions about what it was like to cover a major news event and will shed light on some of the main challenges she faced.

She will answer your questions directly from her Twitter account on Thursday, 21 March, between 14:00 and 15:00 EST (18:00 and 19:00 GMT).
