Has Martin Luther King's dream come true?

The 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King's historic I Have a Dream speech will be marked on 28 August 2013.

He declared to more than 200,000 civil rights activists that he had a dream of racial tolerance, where people would not be judged by the colour of their skin, but by the content of their character.

But how much of that dream has come true?

The BBC's Mark Mardell has been talking to African-Americans who live just a stone's throw away from the seat of power at Capitol Hill.
