Much of downtown Lac-Megantic, Quebec was destroyed after a freight train derailment in July 2013. A huge fire broke out and 47 people were killed after the locomotive's tankers spilled crude oil into the streets. In 2014, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada released a video animation of how it unfolded.
