Democrat John Bel Edwards secures second term as Louisiana governor

Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards has secured a second term after a closely-fought election race.

One of only two Democrat governors in the Republican-leaning Deep South, he secured 51% of the vote, seeing off Republican rival Eddie Rispose.
