Fire breaks out on US bridge after fuel tanker accident

A fire broke out on a bridge in Connecticut following an accident involving a fuel tanker, killing at least one person and injuring two.

The blaze occurred on the Gold Star Bridge in Groton.

The fire was sparked when a tyre blew out and made contact with the tanker which was carrying heating oil, local media reported.
