'I could not protect her. I will never forgive myself'

Standing on the beach, Ahmed Alhashimi relived the moment he realised his seven-year-old daughter Sara had died.

"I could not protect her. I will never forgive myself, but the sea was the only choice I had," he tells the BBC.

A week earlier he had desperately tried to reach his daughter who suffocated as people pushed onto an inflatable boat heading across the English Channel.

Five people died in the incident, including Sara.
