Gary Barlow to release first solo album for 14 years

Gary Barlow is to release his first solo album for 14 years in November.

The Take That star toured on his own last year in theatres around the UK as well as headlining an evening at London's Royal Albert Hall in support of the Prince's Trust.

Barlow, 42, announced the release by sending a message to fans on Twitter.

He wrote: "After 14 long years, I'm proud to announce my new solo album out on November 25th. I'm excited for you to hear it."

The title and tracklisting of his third solo release are yet to be confirmed.

His last release away from Take That, called Sing, was for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and featured a handful of songs.

It was credited to Gary Barlow and The Commonwealth Band and featured a variety of musicians, including the Military Wives, who worked on songs for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

His last full-length solo album - Twelve Months, Eleven Days - came out in 1999.

His debut Open Road topped the Official Album Chart in May 1997.

Earlier this summer Gary Barlow said Take That were also working on a new album.

Speaking at the launch of The X Factor in August, he said: "There will be a Take That album next year, I can promise you that."
