R&B star Chris Brown has been arrested after getting into a row in Washington DC.
Police there said the altercation happened at 4.30am local time outside the W Hotel.
The Forever singer, who was arrested and charged, was with his bodyguard at the time.
Chris Brown is currently on five years' probation for attacking his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 before the Grammy Music Awards.
A police spokesman confirmed the 24-year-old will be held in a cell until court opens on Monday.
In January, it was claimed he was involved in a fight with singer Frank Ocean over a car parking space outside a Hollywood recording studio.
At the time, detectives said Brown was under suspicion for punching the victim but the case was dropped after Ocean decided not to press charges.
