Radio 1 and BBC Learning have announced the line-up for this year's Radio 1 Academy in Glasgow.
Emeli Sande, Rita Ora and Biffy Clyro are some of the artists who will be participating in events to inspire young people.
The scheme, aimed at 16 to 19-year-olds, will offer 7,000 free spaces at a range of workshops, gigs, Q&A sessions and master classes.
Sir Richard Branson, Kevin Bridges and Example are also participating.
Emeli Sande said: "I'm really excited to be part of the Radio 1 Academy and this is made even more special as it's in Glasgow, a city that's been a huge part of both my life and career.
"I'm sure it will be a great day working with young music fans on the art of songwriting and I'm looking forward to helping them create something very special."
Biffy Clyro said they were "excited" to be involved with the project.
"Hopefully we can pass on some of our experiences with younger fans from Scotland and help inspire the next generation of musicians," they said.
The Academy will take place at Queen Margaret Union in Glasgow from Saturday 10 May to Friday 16 May.
It will open its doors in the run-up to the station's flagship live music event, Radio 1's Big Weekend 2014, which takes place at Glasgow Green from 24 to 25 May.
Cast members from Waterloo Road and In The Flesh will also feature in the line-up, as will Sharon Rooney from My Mad Fat Diary.
Katy B, Hudson Mohawke, Nina Nesbitt have also been confirmed for the events.
Emeli Sande will host a music and songwriting workshop, while Kevin Bridges will host one on stand-up comedy.
Radio 1 DJs such as Greg James will also be putting on classes.
The station also plans to broadcast live from the Queen Margaret Union, to promote the work of the young people attending.
The Academy is part of Take It On, which is Radio 1's commitment to encourage young people to get inspired and get involved to take on their future.
Sir Richard Branson said: "It's a pleasure to have been invited to attend the Radio 1 Academy this year and I'm looking forward to meeting and hearing from some of the young people of Glasgow.
"It's a fantastic project and I hope people leave feeling inspired after the day's talks, workshops and events. It's the perfect place to share ideas, interests and hopefully pick up some advice along the way."
Tickets for the event are free of charge and will be available from Monday 5 May, when the full timetable is announced.
Tickets for Q&A sessions and BBC Introducing gigs are available to book now.
Young people living locally in Glasgow and from Scotland or the rest of the UK can apply for tickets online or in person from Queen Margaret Union.
