As Parklife opens this weekend, police are still looking for the killer of Robert Hart, who died after an attack at last year's festival

Police still searching for the killer of a man at Parklife have issued an appeal for people to check their photos and share them on social media.

This year's festival starts on Saturday and detectives hope there will be new leads in finding the man responsible for the death of Robert Hart.

The 26-year-old was attacked while waiting for Snoop Dogg to come on stage in 2014.

He was with his girlfriend, Gemma Parry, at the time.

She told Newsbeat: "Police are looking for any shots of guys in the background or clues to where we were standing to where the attack happened."

Officers say the row happened near the main stage and began because of an argument over an inflatable doll.

Hashtag #helpbobby has been created by Greater Manchester Police so people can share last year's pictures online.

"Dig deep. Have a look," says Gemma. "If you think you weren't near us, you might have been. It's very hard to pinpoint where you were at that moment.

"This year has been a dark place."

Police say Robert Hart, from Macclesfield, Cheshire, died in hospital four days after he was punched in the head at the event at Heaton Park at about 21:15 BST on 7 June 2014.

A new photograph of the couple has been released for the appeal hoping it will jog people's memories.

"You might have been walking past. You might have been taking a picture. You might have been taking a video," asks Gemma.

Gemma Parry and Robert Hart had been together two years and talked about marriage and children

She describes the man who attacked Robert as being "mixed-race with short hair on the sides and chiseled features, well-built and around 6' 3".

Police have issued images of 12 people who were near the main stage when the attack happened.

The couple were together for two years and had been to Parklife, in Heaton Park, the previous year.

Doctors said Robert's cause of death was a bleed on the brain.

"He was the love of my life, losing him has turned me upside down and inside out and I didn't know who I was."

An estimated 70,000 people were at the festival last year and police have interviewed more than 200 potential suspects and witnesses.

In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said "We have been within a few feet of having seen this man in a picture and being able to identify him, but unfortunately the shot we need has eluded us.

"That is why this push for anyone who was at Parklife last year to send in any footage is so important."

Gemma says she has no problem with Parklife going ahead this weekend (6-7 June), but admits it will be difficult.

"He wouldn't want people not to go and enjoy themselves because he enjoyed it himself so much. He wouldn't want the music to stop."
