Azealia Banks defends homophobic outburst on plane

Azealia Banks has defended herself over a video that shows the rapper using an offensive word towards a flight attendant.
In the video posted by TMZ, external the pair are seen having an argument over her bag as she tries to get off a Delta Air Lines flight.
The clip ends with Azealia using what sounds like a homophobic insult.
But she's since responded by saying she's bisexual and that her employees are all gay men., external
Azealia also claims that she would have been treated differently if she was white.
She tweeted: "They would've politely handed a white woman her bags and a spritzer.", external
Delta spokesperson Brian Kruse told Newsbeat: "We are aware of the situation and are looking into it."
TMZ reports that Azealia clashed with another passenger as she tried to squeeze past him to get off the plane.
The flight attendant then got involved to try and calm her down.
Azealia retweeted several messages of support from her fans, and used the opportunity to plug her new album.
It's not the first time Azealia has been pulled up on her use of the word "faggot".
She used it against showbiz blogger Perez Hilton in 2013.
She said at the time the word "is not a homosexual male" but "any male who acts like a female", adding that "there's a big difference".
