Justin Bieber cancels tour meet and greets after 'security incident'

Justin Bieber has cancelled his meet and greets after a "security incident" at one of his gigs.

The singer is eight dates into his Purpose World Tour but says he won't be meeting any more fans.

Writing on Instagram, he said: "I enjoy meeting such incredible people but I end up feeling drained and filled with so much of other people's spiritual energy that I end up unhappy.

"I want to make people smile and happy but not at my expense."

Justin Bieber's management team says the incident caused them to rethink plans before and after gigs.

The meet and greet in Las Vegas on Friday night, thought to cost around $2,000 (£1,400), is now being called an "I'll Show You" VIP hangout, external.

Justin Bieber has 56 more dates in North America before heading across the Atlantic to play at V Festival in August.

He'll then head to Europe for another 48 concerts, including six at London's O2 Arena, where the tour will conclude in November.

On Saturday night, Justin Bieber was filmed having a rant while sitting on a DJ booth at a club in Los Angeles.

He was at the 1OAK nightclub in West Hollywood to give an impromptu performance, external in between shows in California.

In the video he appears to be heard saying: "I think people hate on people who are themselves, you know?

"Maybe I'm drunk or maybe I'm just speaking real [stuff], but I feel like a lot of the reason why there's so many people that hate on me is 'cause I'm just myself.

"You know, you can hate on me for being myself, too, but... if you just are yourself and are OK with just being yourself and making spontaneous decisions and just, like, wearing whatever you want to wear and doing whatever you want to do...

"We're going to make bad decisions sometimes, but we ultimately want to make good decisions.

"So let's try to make the best decisions as we possibly know how to give and have a good night."
