Westminster attack: Rage at terror selfies on social media

Graphic images are being shared on social media following a terrorist attack in central London - and people are angry and upset.

Eyewitnesses took photos after a car ran over people on Westminster Bridge and a police officer was fatally stabbed inside the gates of Parliament.

At least one woman has died and several others are critically injured after the car attack.

But photos of casualties - before they got help - are causing revulsion.

Sam Carr called it "disgusting".

Sarah agrees.

"Those who are actually taking selfies and photos of injured people should be found and prosecuted. It's absolutely disgusting." , external

Layla called for people to put down their phones and help.

"Taking photos of those who are injured is disgusting - put your phone down and help them!", external

Harry and Dan called "shocking" behaviour.

"If you're taking photos of the injured and tweeting them rather than helping, then you, my friend, are a shocking person." , external

"Someone lying injured on the bridge. Some bloke stood there taking photos not helping. Modern society. Shocking.", external

Caitlin called it "extremely gross".

"There's something extremely gross about taking photos of people who have been injured in this awful situation.", external

Helen said she "despaired".

"I do despair in the knowledge that people are too busy taking photos and selfies on #Westminster as others fight for their lives.", external

It's claimed some even took selfies.

"Taking photos of victims that have been run over is awful but a selfie with a selfie stick = reevaluate your existence now," said Charlie., external

"Why are people stood there taking photos and videos and even SELFIES?!?!!!! some people need to revalue priorities in life.", external

Aine couldn't believe some apparently took photos with ambulances.

"People are dead and injured and a man is taking photos with the ambulances? No respect or shame with these people nowadays," said Aine., external

Chris is sickened.

Terri "HATES" social media on days like today.

"I HATE social media when terrible things like this happen. Stop standing and taking photos and videos of the injured at Westminster!HELP!", external

Sophie called for a "little dignity".

"Nothing angering me more than the people stood in the way of the emergency services taking photos in Westminster. Have a little dignity.", external
