NBA champions Golden State Warriors' comeback year in memes

Fans of the Golden State Warriors have been sharing memes celebrating the NBA champions' comeback year and title win.
They suffered a season of ridicule and being the butt of the internet's jokes.
That followed them squandering a 3-1 lead against Cleveland Cavaliers to lose last season's finals.
But now, after their second NBA title in three years (a 4-1 series victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers) their fans went into meme overdrive.
The story though, begins on 19 June 2016. Cleveland had shocked the basketball world, completing one of the most epic comebacks in sporting history.
The internet did it's thing and as Usain Bolt won yet another Olympic gold medal in Rio, the Warriors collapse was suddenly everywhere.
Much of Cleveland's comeback was led by Lebron James, widely thought of as the best basketball player in the world.
So in response, the Warriors signed arguably the second best basketball player in the world, Kevin Durant.
With stars like Durant and Steph Curry, they waltzed through the 2017 playoffs not losing a game until they played Cleveland in the finals.
They won the first three games of the series but lost the fourth. The meme world started to wonder if they could throw it all away again.
But the Warriors held their nerve winning 129-120 in game five and laid the ghost of last season to rest.
