Ever since Taylor Swift's social media accounts were "blacked out" on Friday, fans have been coming up with theories as to why.

Some say the singer deleting her website and the pictures from her Instagram account were clear signs new music is on the way.

While others even suggested that the 27-year-old star may have been the victim of a hack.

So, until Taylor confirms why she did it, here are the best fan theories.

Taylor Swift's new album will be called Eclipse

This fan not only believes Taylor Swift is days away from releasing new music but has come up with the album title too.

Writing on the website Reddit, a user known as flamestoembers, summed up why they think it'll be called Eclipse.

The singer's debut album was the self-titled Taylor Swift, she then went on to release Fearless, Speak Now and Red.

Her last studio album, 1989, was released in 2014.

Haters gonna wait, wait, wait, wait, wait...

Fans who log on to Taylor's official website are currently met with a "404" error page.

Some eagle-eyed fans claimed the error message, which flashes intermittingly, is actually Morse code.

Translated it apparently is telling fans to "wait", although it doesn't appear to say what for.

Taylor has been known to use Morse code though.

Bracelets given out during her 1989 Tour were fitted with flashing lights that Taylor got fans to flash in code.

The new music will be out of this world

This theory was discovered by someone who's clearly handy in-front of a keyboard.

Taylor Swift's Tumblr account has been deactivated and currently displays just a blank screen.

Although when you delve into the code that makes up the web page it includes the words, "Moon Dust", "Earthy" and "Neptune".

Some argue that the space theme could be the single or album artwork or even a track listing.
