Acid attack victim Resham Khan shares recovery photos

Resham Khan, who was the victim of an acid attack in June, has been sharing the first pictures of her recovery to celebrate Eid.
She was attacked on her 21st birthday as acid was thrown at her and her cousin through a car window in London.
Resham has been writing about her recovery on social media and has also started a blog.
The business student has also been talking about getting her life back to normal and returning to university.

John Tomlin, 25, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent of Resham and her cousin Jameel Muhktar, 37, who remains seriously injured.
He's due to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court in November.
In Resham's blog from August,, external she talks about mentally being "up and down" and physically dealing with the demands of skin grafts and wearing special clothes to "prevent scars".
She wrote at the time about not wanting to share any photos.
But since writing that blog, Resham has posted her first recovery photos since the attack.
"You have all seen me at my worst, so at least let me show you when I'm looking good.
"For me that would be when my eye looks normal. The skin colour I can deal with, the scarring I can cover or treat.
"There are options for me. However, I have been taking photos all the time, so maybe one day I'll be able to share the timeline of physical recovery."

Aside from blogging her recovery the student has been lobbying the government to discuss acid attacks in parliament.
She has spoken to the Home Office, got backing from 35 MPs and Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressida Dick has also pledged to look into the issue in London.
A petition to stop the purchase of acid without a licence, external has also been made in Resham's name and so far has over half a million signatures.
