Rare giant armadillo snapped on camera in Brazil

A giant armadillo has been caught on camera in Brazil.
The animals are very shy and usually only come out at night so it's rare to catch sight of them.
Researchers spent 10 weeks searching for the animals in South America, and eventually tracked them down using remote cameras.
Giant armadillos can grow to 1.5m - twice the length of normal armadillos. But hunting and deforestation means their numbers are falling.
Researchers hope the pictures will help them learn more about the creatures and understand why they are so rare.
