One year after Japan's earthquake and tsunami

One year on from its devastating earthquake, Japan is still feeling the impacts of this natural disaster.

On 11 March 2011 a 9.0 magnitude tremor shook the north-east of the country, triggering a tsunami and killing thousands of people.

The Fukushima nuclear power plant was also damaged and began leaking radiation.

Clearing up and rebuilding has been a huge task and one year on, there's still lots more that needs to be done.
