Ben Ainslie's victory in the Finn class sailing event at Weymouth brings his gold medal collection to four, making him the most decorated sailor in history.
His win means GB are still third in the medals table behind China and USA.
Ainslie faced tough competition throughout the week from Denmark's Jonas Hogh-Christensen who came into the medal race two points ahead of him.
Andrew Simpson and Iain Percy have also won silver in sailing's Star class.
