Meet the 17-year-old lollipop lady
- Published
For sixty years, lollipop men and women have been helping children all over the UK cross busy roads.
It's a job that's normally filled by the older generation but for one school in York their lollypop lady - Marie Patterson - is less than a third of the average age of her colleagues.
She's only seventeen and is one of the UK's youngest school crossing wardens.
"It's working with children, and that's what I wanted to do from a young age," says Marie.
We sent Leah to track her down and get a taste of the job.
