Young reporters Lucas and Cairo report on coding

Children have been getting the chance to learn about computer coding at CBBC Live in Leeds.

Coding is when you give a sequence of instructions to a computer so you can make it do what you want to do.

Computers are a major part of our lives now - so there's a big push to get more kids to understand coding, so computers can do more things!

There are around 900 coding clubs for nine to 11-year-olds across the country.

Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the world wide web, told Newsround earlier this month: "You have to remember that the computer's been programmed by someone.

"If you can imagine a computer being different, if you are fed up with the way a programme works - programme it!"
