Actress Emma Watson has revealed she is going to be a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations.

The United Nations is a group of countries that work together to try and solve some of the world's problems.

Emma will work for the organisation to promote equality between men and women.

It's hoped she can help improve opportunities for women and girls around the world, and tackle discrimination.

Emma said the role will give her the chance to "make a real difference".

She said: "Women's rights are something... so deeply personal and rooted in my life that I can't imagine an opportunity more exciting."
