Smoke is seen rising over Lake Tahoe from the Nevada side of the lake.

This is what's left of the local library in the city of Weed. In just a few hours, more than 100 homes, a church and the library were destroyed by fire.

A fire-fighter sprays water on to flames.

A plane flies over the area of the 'King Fire' dropping fire retardant on to trees.
