Cuttlefish have a clever trick to make sure they don't get eaten by sharks, scientists in America have found.

Sharks hunt down their prey by picking up electric signals that prey produce.

But the cuttlefish have a way to avoid this.

They cover the parts of their body that make the electric signals with their arms, as well as breathing more slowly, whenever they think sharks are nearby.

By shielding their electric fields cuttlefish hope to go unnoticed by sharks looking for their next meal.
