Strictly Come Dancing won best talent programme, beating the X Factor, The Voice and Britain's Got Talent
The National Television Awards took place in London on Wednesday evening.

Downton Abbey won best drama for the fourth time in five years.

The Great British Bake Off won best challenge programme. The show's winner, Nadiya, was at the ceremony and joined judges Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry on stage to collect the award.

The Siddiqui family collected Gogglebox's award for best factual entertainment.

EastEnders won the battle of the soaps. The whole cast were there to collect the best serial drama award.

Britain's Got Talent winner Jules Dwyer and her stunt dogs Matisse and Chase walked the red carpet ahead of the ceremony, while Matisse also helped announce the best comedy winner.

The contestants of this year's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! posed backstage with the show's award for best entertainment programme.

Peter Kay's Car Share beat Benidorm, Birds Of A Feather and Not Going Out to win best comedy.

A new award was also created this year - the impact award for best TV moment. It went to Aidan Turner for his role in BBC drama series Poldark.
