Baby orangutan meets mum for first time
- Published

This baby orangutan was born in Memphis Zoo, America. The birth was difficult for his mother, so she had to spend 11 days apart recovering.

In that time he was looked after by zoo staff instead.

But after a wait of 11 days, mum Jahe and her new baby got to meet for the first time.

And there were cuddles all round!

A contest to name the young orangutan has now been started by Memphis Zoo.
