Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse won the Golden Globe award for Best Animated Feature Film.

It was a much needed boost for Marvel, as their movies had a mixed night at the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night.

The hit film Black Panther was expected to do well, but didn't win in any categories that it was nominated in.

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse follows teenager Miles Morales as Spider-Man. He meets Peter Parker, and realizes that he is not the only Spider-Man and there are others who share his talents.

In what may be a show of solidarity, the cast of Black Panther, including Chadwick Boseman and Lupita Nyong'o, presented the Into the Spider-Verse filmmakers with the award.

Into the Spider-Verse was up against some tough competition including Pixar's Incredibles 2 and Disney's Ralph Breaks the Internet.
