More than 130 hot air balloons from across the world are expected to take part across the four days. But it was brought forward because strong winds were forecast for the following day. As with every year, the balloons came in all shapes and sizes, as you can see with this creatively designed bear balloon, which looks like it was waving to the admiring crowds below.Image source, Finnbarr Webster/Getty ImagesImage caption, While thousands of people will be looking forward to seeing all sorts of balloons, the highlights of the festival for most people are the Nightglows and Firework Finales, when collections of balloons are tied together and light up the night-time sky, accompanied by music.
