Eilish McColgan set a new British 10,000m record in California in the US.
The Scottish runner ran 30 minutes 00.86 seconds beating the previous record of 30:01.09 set in Munich, Germany.
Eilish McColgan is a middle and long distance runner and a four-time European Championships medallist. But not just that - Eilish's mother Liz McColgan is also a champion runner!
Here are the sports stars keeping it in the family
Eilish and Liz McColgan
When former 10,000 metres World Champion and Olympic silver medallist Liz McColgan cheers her daughter Eilish on from the sidelines, she knows better than most parents what she's going through.
When Eilish won gold in the 10,000 metres race at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022, she was running in her mum's footsteps.
Liz had won the same title at the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh and in Auckland in 1990!
Watching from the stadium Liz McColgan said: "To witness your daughter winning is amazing and to win it in the same event I won in!"
Princess Anne and Zara Phillips
Whoa! You'll neigh-ver believe this royal mum and daughter who have had some pretty impressive sporting horse-riding achievements.
Princess Anne is the only member of the royal family to appear at the Olympics. She was a really successful equestrian athlete.
In 1971, she was even named as the BBC's Sports Personality of the year.
Her daughter, Zara, was also successful in the equestrian world, following her mum's path by becoming European and World Equestrian Champion on her horse Toytown - and she was also named BBC Sports Personality of the Year!
Andy, Jamie and Judy Murray
Judy Murray is the mum of three-time tennis singles Grand Slam winner Andy and two-time doubles Grand Slam winner Jamie.
Before coaching her sons to stardom, Judy played tennis professionally and represented Great Britain at the world student games.
In 2017, Judy was given an OBE for her services to tennis.
Elliot Thompson and Daley Thompson
Like Eilish McColgan, Elliot Thompson has definitely followed in his father's footsteps. The athlete became the new men's UK decathlon champion after winning the 1500m in June 2022 at the UK Athletics Championships.
His success came 46 years after his famous dad two-time Olympic Gold medallist Daley Thompson won the first of his decathlon titles.
The decathlon is a combined event in athletics consisting of ten track and field events including javelin, discus throw and pole vault.
George and Timothy Weah
Before becoming the president of Liberia, George Weah was one of the best footballers around.
In 1995 he was named the Fifa World Player of the year and, to date, he's the only African player to win the Ballon d'Or.
His son Timothy has followed in his footsteps, becoming a professional footballer, currently playing for French team Lille.
Romeo and David Beckham
Out of former England footballer David Beckham's four kids, Romeo Beckham is the only one so far to take up his dad's sport professionally.
The 20 year-old plays for the team David Beckham co-owns, Inter Miami and recently joined Brentford B team in the UK on loan.
James, Liam and Ian Botham
Welsh rugby union player James Botham plays for Cardiff Rugby as a flanker and is a Wales International.
His father, Liam Botham played both rugby union and rugby league professionally for Cardiff RFC as a wing.
Before that he played county cricket following in the footsteps of his father and famous cricketer Ian Botham.
Petr, Jessica, Nelly and Sebastian Korda
Another sporting family where the kids didn't all pick up the same sport as their parents. Professional tennis player and Australian Open winner Petr Korda and professional tennis player Regina Rajchrtová have three children.
But while their son Sebastian has picked up a racket, turning pro player in 2018, his sisters have picked up golf clubs instead.
Petr Korda was a caddie for both his daughters when they were teenagers. Both Jessica and Nelly Korda have represented the USA at the Solheim Cup and Nelly Korda won gold at the women's individual golf event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
