Art of Building 2019: Awesome photos of amazing buildings

This photo of the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Spain, was taken by Pedro Luis Ajuriaguerra Saiz. It's called Fish. Pedro said that due to the reflection of the water at night, the building shows us the shape of a fish, perhaps prehistoric with what looks like its heart still alive.
This is Skywards by Debdatta Chakraborty: The House of the Black Madonna is a building in the Old Town area of Prague, Czech Republic. The building was designed and built between 1911 and 1912. Don't you think this photo makes the staircase look like a light bulb?
Metrostation by Alexandr Bormotin: Talk about a striking station! This new Moscow underground metro station is made in a futuristic style. It even looks like two different photos stuck together!
At Work by Volker Sander: Wow! Imagine having to clean so many windows! Volker says the photo is an example of how humans and buildings need to work together. He said: "Without the busy people cleaning the giant glass frames of the tower the building would look quite ugly."
Eiffel Bridge by Jose Pessoa Neto: This photo shows people waiting for the three-day street festival Nossa Senhora da Agonia, in Viana do Castelo, Portugal. Photographer Jose Pessoa Neto said: "From the street I saw these beautiful silhouettes, the bridge, the green crosses and the building behind in harmony."
Bank by Jonathan Walland. In this photo of London, Jonathan said he liked to keep it simple, "keeping the viewer focused on the purest elements of photography; form, light, texture. The funny square-shaped building is 20 Fenchurch Street - also known as the walkie-talkie!
Axonometry by Grzegorz Tatar: This is a view from above the underground entrance to the National Forum of Music in Wroclaw, Poland.
Colourful Mixture by Volker Sander: Look at the way the different shapes and colour stand next to each other. Volker says he wanted his picture to show the peaceful way old and new buildings can live together. They show the creative side of the city centre of Hamburg, Germany.
Sea and Humans by David Martin Huamani Bedoya: David says that with this picture, taken in Peru, he wanted to show that "the intervention of man in nature is not always bad. The photo shows the tranquillity of nature and a balcony from where people can better appreciate it."
Muralla Roja by Agnese Sanvito. Agnese said: "When I photographed La Muralla Roja, (an apartment block in Calpe, Spain) it felt like being in a painting for the dreamlike feel of the place." She said this image shows a sense of light and colour in photography that she enjoys most, and which are important to her work.
Kunststück by Pegova Olya: In the past, artistic designs on the coverings put on the front of buildings where building work is being done were a rare and short term thing. But today they are a more common part of many cities - only being changed from time to time.
Bexhill Promenade Shelter by Adam Regan: These designs for Bexhill seafront were built after a national architecture competition. Adam says he thinks it is "an elegant and appealing solution." What a beautiful view.
