This image of a sparisoma cretense, a species of parrotfish, was taken off the coast of the Canary Island, to the west of Africa.

'I'd like to thank my mum dad, the mole next door!' Oh the DRAMA! This spermophile - a type of rodent in Hungary in Europe - looks like it's making a winners acceptance speech already. But hold fire, the competition winners will be announced in October.

There's always that one friend who ruins pictures. This giraffe decided to photo bomb their mate at Etosha National Park in Namibia, Africa.

Whoops! Staying in Namibia and this baby African Elephant has taken a tumble and faceplanted. Just walk it off and pretend like nothing happened!

Like people, some animals do not respect the rules! This photo called 'Mocking bird' shows a kingfisher doing what it does best, fishing! It was taken in Kirkcudbright in the UK.

Who doesn't like sharing secrets with their friends? These two male lions look like they're enjoying a good gossip, the photo was taken in the Kalahari Desert in Africa.

It's fun for all the family as this young Langur uses the tails of its parents as a swing in India.

“Talk to the hand!” It looks like this Parakeet has had enough of what its pal is saying. The photograph of the birds was taken in Kaudulla National Park in Sri Lanka in south Asia.

Who likes getting kissed by their parents in public? This otter definitely doesn't! Embarrassing! This photograph of two smooth-coated otters was taken in the Asian country of Singapore.

This seal in Scotland must have been reading through this gallery of comedy wildlife photos because it looks like it's having a right laugh! The winners of the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards will be announced in a virtual online ceremony on 22 October.
