Celtic beat Hibernian to win their 20th Scottish League Cup

Hibernian captain Paul Hanlon scored first, but the lead was short lived with Japanese forward Kyogo Furuhashi levelling the score. Kyogo then went on to score again in the 72nd minute, securing the win for his team. Hibs currently don't have a manager with interim boss David Gray in charge.
Celtic players relished celebrating with the trophy after a frustrating period recently. The Bhoys finished last season without any silverware for the first time in over a decade. Captain Callum McGregor said: "For this group of players to come together in the summer and achieve a trophy at the first time of asking is special. We wanted to get last season out of our system and get the club back to success."
Man of the match went to Kyogo Furuhashi. The Japanese forward - an injury doubt before the game - made it 16 goals for the season with his match-winning Hampden double.
Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou was a virtual unknown in Scotland when he arrived tasked with restoring a fallen giant to glory. Just six months on, the Greek-Australian has become an icon for the Celtic support, the manager's name ringing out after their dramatic League Cup triumph. On winning the trophy he said: "It's all a bit surreal, we've had a helluva ride and enormous challenges since the moment I arrived. I'm just so proud of these players."
