It's official! The January transfer window is now shut - and that means football fans everywhere are asking the question: Who have my club signed?

It's a time when football clubs throughout Europe can sign players to help them win trophies, gain promotion or perhaps escape the dreaded relegation.

And Premier League clubs have been spending BIG! They spent £295 million last month - that's the second highest spending January in history.

Everyone has been talking about Newcastle after their recent takeover made them one of the richest clubs in the world.

They had been linked to many players as they bid to avoid relegation from the Premier League - so how did they do? And what other teams brought in players?

Christian Eriksen - Brentford

One of the most surprising transfers in the January window has been Christian Eriksen's move to Premier League side Brentford.

There were concerns that the Denmark international wouldn't be able to play football again after he collapsed on the pitch during Euro 2020 last summer. He suffered a cardiac arrest and was resuscitated on the pitch.

Eriksen had a pacemaker fitted to help his heart but his club side, Inter Milan, were forced to release him from his contract because it is forbidden to play football at that level with a pacemaker in Italy.

The Premier League doesn't have the same rules and so, six months on from his collapse, the former Tottenham player is back in England.

Dele Alli - Everton

Dele Alli's career has stalled at times while playing for Tottenham, playing only six times since Spurs boss Antonio Conte joined in November.

But Everton's new manager Frank Lampard made signing the midfielder a priority for the club.

The final fee isn't known yet, but it could reach £40m.

Aaron Ramsey - Rangers

Wales international Aaron Ramsey is joining Scottish champions Rangers on loan from Juventus.

The 31-year-old has not played for Juventus since October and said he was really excited to be joining the club until the end of the season.

"I had a number of offers on the table, but none matched the magnitude of this club, with European football and the chance to play in front of 50,000 fans every other week," said Ramsey.

Kieran Trippier - Newcastle United

You may remember the defender starring for England in Euro 2020.

And now, the 31-year-old has signed for Newcastle from Spanish champions, Atletico Madrid.

Trippier - who once played under Newcastle manager, Eddie Howe, at Burnley - has been signed for a reported fee of £12 million plus add-ons.

Luis Diaz - Liverpool

You might not have heard of Luis Diaz yet, but you soon will.

Liverpool have signed the Colombian international winger from Porto for an initial fee of £37.5 million.

He's been on fire for the Portuguese side this season, scoring 14 goals in just 18 matches.

Tottenham were keen on signing Diaz but Liverpool stole in and secured the deal.

Bruno Guimaraes - Newcastle

Newcastle have been very busy in the January window.

Not only have they signed Kieran Trippier, but they've also added Burnley's star striker Chris Wood for £20 million, Brighton's defender Dan Burn for £13 million and Aston Villa's defender Matt Targett on loan.

But, without doubt, their biggest deal has been to secure the signing of Lyon midfielder, Bruno Guimaraes.

The 24-year-old had been linked with a whole host of Europe's top sides, but has chosen to join Newcastle.

He's cost £35m with £6.6m in add-ons.

Anthony Martial - Sevilla

It has been a season to forget for the 26-year-old Manchester United forward, with only two Premier League starts this season.

But, he's now managed to get a move away from the club, signing on loan for Spanish side, Sevilla, until the end of the season.

Stina Blackstenius - Arsenal

The transfer window has also been open in the Women's Super League.

Swedish forward Stina Blackstenius's move to Arsenal has been the biggest move of the window.

She's one of the most prolific strikers in Europe, having already scored 27 goals for her former club, BK Häcken this season.

Dusan Vlahovic - Juventus

The biggest transfer of the window was Dusan Vlahovic's move to Juventus from Fiorentina.

The 22-year-old is one of the most highly-rated young players in the world, having scored 20 goals in just 24 games this season.

Arsenal were heavily linked with a move for Vlahovic but he decided to move to Juventus instead, for £58m, plus £8m in add-ons.

Julian Alvarez - Manchester City

Last season's Premier League champions, Manchester City, have had a quiet January window.

Despite this, they've been building for the future quietly under the radar with the signing of Julian Alvarez.

The Argentinean international is considered to be one of the biggest young talents in South America, with 36 goals in 96 appearances for River Plate.

He's signed for a fee of £14 million and will stay on loan with River Plate until July.

Tanguy Ndombele - Lyon

It didn't really work out for Tottenham's record signing, Tanguy Ndombele.

He was signed from Lyon for a fee of £55 million back in 2019.

Almost three years later, he returns to Lyon on loan until the end of the season.

The French side can purchase Ndombele for £65 million after the loan if they want to.
