Coventry City of Culture year ends with amazing drone show

The drone show, called Our Wilder Family, was inspired by nature and featured animals, plants and birds all formed using light from drones.

This display was created to mimic the movements of birds. The makers of the show wanted to remind people how important it is we look after the world around us. The show was accompanied by poems and sounds created for the event.

This formation is inspired by Coventry, which has the phoenix as its symbol and is known as the 'Phoenix City'. The drone show lasted 16 minutes - which its creators say is the longest drone show the UK has ever held.

The weekend also featured a parade called This is City to celebrate the communities and artists involved in the city's year-long celebrations.

French performers Gratte Ciel also performed their World Premiere of aerial show, The Awakening. It was 40 minutes long and included super high stunts and performers hanging from a giant dream catcher!

This immersive digital gallery in Coventry is thought to be the first permanent one of its kind in the UK. Its first exhibition is called Machine Memoirs: Space by artist Refik Anadol. Organisers said the gallery is "a lasting legacy" of the city's time as City of Culture.
