Helen Skelton
Former Newsround and Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton is the final celebrity contestant confirmed for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Helen said: "I'm really excited to get stuck into a fun adventure. My family and friends have always loved the show and can't wait for me to get started."
Helen was on Blue Peter for 5 years and took on some incredible challenges during her time on the show, including completing the Namibia Ultra Marathon, cycling to the South Pole and kayaking over 2000 miles down the Amazon River!
Since then, Helen has presented on lots of big sporting events for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4.
James Bye
James Bye is the fourteenth celebrity joining this year's competition.
He is well known for his role as Martin Fowler in the BBC One soap EastEnders, and has been nominated for several British Soap awards.
James said: "I'm not known for my shimmy or my twinkle toes - in fact my kids regularly laugh at my dad dancing but it's an honour to be asked and I'm going to give it my best shot.
"There are some huge dance shoes to fill and it's truly exciting to follow in the footsteps of some amazing EastEnders talent. I'd love to do everyone proud."
Hamza Yassin
Wildlife cameraman and presenter Hamza is the thirteenth celebrity contestant to join this year's line up.
You might recognise him from presenting CBeebies live-action show Let's Go For A Walk, and he also has a new series called Ranger Hamza's Eco Quest coming out later this month.
He said: "I am absolutely over the moon to be joining Strictly 2022. Never in a million years did I think I'd be on such a cool show.
"My dance skills are currently at the level of '1970's disco vibe' but I'm ready to work hard and will be shaking it every time I get the chance - shake it 'til you make it!"
Fleur East
Singer-songwriter, TV and radio presenter Fleur East is the twelfth celebrity contestant confirmed for the new series.
Fleur has already appeared on several reality shows, including The X Factor and I'm a Celebrity but that doesn't necessarily mean she is feeling super confident when it comes to showing of her dancing skills on the show.
She said: "I'm equally nervous and thrilled to be part of this year's Strictly line up. I'm excited to learn new skills and I want to soak up every moment of this magical experience."
Tony Adams
Strictly have announced their eleventh celebrity contestant as football legend Tony Adams MBE.
A player and captain for both Arsenal and England, Adams' football career lasted an incredible 22 years.
The ex-footballer is considered to be one of the greatest Arsenal and England players of all time with 66 caps for England, 10 major trophy wins and appearing in four tournaments.
He said: "To say I'm excited is an understatement - the lure of the sequins and the call of the salsa has me swapping my battered old football boots for a set of Strictly soft shoes. Am absolutely thrilled to be giving it my all on this year's 20th anniversary of Strictly Come Dancing."
Now retired from football, Adams currently works with a number of mental health charities to spread awareness and raise money.
Molly Rainford
CBBC star Molly Rainford, who you might recognise from the Nova Jones series, has been announced as the tenth contestant to join the Strictly line-up - live on Newsround!
The singer and actress said: "I'm so excited to be part of Strictly Come Dancing, I've watched it for years and can't wait to meet the pros and the others taking part! I can't wait to learn the moves and get dancing!"
Molly first appeared on our TV screens at just eleven-years-old in 2012, when she became the youngest ever finalist of Britain's Got Talent.
Molly is currently playing intergalactic pop superstar Nova Jones in the CBBC series.
Ellie Taylor
Ellie Taylor has been announced as the ninth contestant to star on Strictly this series.
The comedian and actor recently presented Channel 4's The Great Pottery Throw Down competition.
Ellie Taylor said: "Well, cover me in fake tan and roll me in sequins! I'm absolutely over the moon to be a part of Strictly 2022!
"I've watched the show for years so to be able to take to the dance floor is a dream come true, for both me and mum who is a Strictly super fan!"
Matt Goss
Singer-songwriter, musician and actor Matt Goss is the eighth celeb to be revealed for this series of Strictly.
Your parents, grandparents and maybe even great-grandparents may remember Matt as the lead singer of hugely-successful band, BROS.
Back in the 1980s BROS, which also consisted of Matt's twin brother Luke, and friend, Craig Logan, were one of the biggest bands on the planet!
Matt Goss said about Strictly: "I'm extremely nervous and excited, but I'm optimistic because I'm very supple from the knees down."
Matt is now a solo artist and even has his own "Matt Goss Day" on 8th August, celebrated in Las Vegas!
Tyler West
Former CBBC presenter and radio host Tyler West is the seventh celebrity to be confirmed to be taking to the dancefloor for this year's series.
Tyler said he was "SO gassed to be joining the Strictly family!"
He added: "It's going to be one crazy incredible journey which will no doubt be SO far outside my comfort zone.
"It's a show that means so much to me and my family and I can't wait to seriously shake a leg on that shiny dance floor… with a side of sequins."
Ellie Simmonds
Superstar swimmer Ellie Simmonds is the sixth celebrity contestant to be confirmed, following a live interview on 5 Live!
Ellie shot to fame in 2008 when she bagged a gold medal in the 100m S6 swimming event at the Beijing Paralympics at just 13 years old.
She went on to become the youngest person ever to receive an MBE when she was just 14, and won Sports Personality of the Year that same year.
From there she went on to greater success, and now has 5 Paralympic gold medals, along with golds at World and European championships.
During her interview on 5 Live, Ellie said she was "bursting with excitement".
"I'm counting down the minutes until it starts; learning to dance, meeting my partner and everyone else involved in the show. Plus wearing the sequins and all that, it's going to be a blast," she said.
"I've been watching Strictly from as far back as I can remember; it's a traditional lead up to Christmas with my family and it's a genuine privilege to be part of it" she added.
Jayde Adams
Comedian Jayde Adams is the fifth celebrity contestant to be confirmed for this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
You might recognise her as the presenter of two food-themed shows - Crazy Delicious on Netflix and Channel 4's Snackmasters!
Jayde has won lots of awards for her work as a comedian, but how well will she do when she swaps the mic for dance shoes?
"Since I watched the first series in 2004, I feel like every step I've taken in my career over the last 11 years was to be on Strictly," she said.
" I've been a massive fan of the show for years. I feel like I'm watching myself in a dream and I can't believe I've manifested this. Holding this in has been torture for me!"
Kaye Adams
Kaye Adams is the fourth celebrity to be announced. Kaye is a TV and radio presenter and journalist.
She said: "I wanted to make the last year of my fifties memorable and I can't think of a better way of doing it than showing the world my two left feet. Pray for me!"
Kaye is best known for her work on ITV's chat show Loose Women, as well as for hosting the morning show on BBC Radio Scotland.
Richie Anderson
Richie Anderson is the third contestant to be announced.
The presenter is known for his role on BBC Radio 2's Breakfast Show with Zoe Ball. He presents the travel bulletins as well as hosting a wide variety of his own shows.
He's also a regular presenter on the One Show.
"Strictly is the ultimate feel good show, as soon as I hear that iconic theme tune it's just pure escapism. I'm going to have to cancel my legendary Strictly launch night kitchen party that I throw every year, I'm sure my friends and family will understand," he said.
He also said he would be part of an all-male dance partnership, which was a "massive honour".
"It's so important we have that inclusion on such a huge show."
Last year John Whaite and Johannes Radebe reached the final as part of the show's first all-male partnership.
Nicola Adams and Katya Jones were Strictly's first same-sex couple in 2020.
Kym Marsh
Kym Marsh is the second celebrity contestant confirmed for the new series. Kym is an actor, television presenter and singer.
She's well known for her role of Michelle Connor in Coronation Street, and is soon set to star in the new series of Waterloo Road.
Kym is currently a presenter on BBC One's Morning Live.
Kym said: "I've considered doing Strictly for years but the timings never worked out. I'm so delighted that this year they have! I'm a huge fan of the show and can't believe I'm going to go from watching at home in my pyjamas to actually dancing in front of the judges in a glittery dress, it's unreal!"
Will Mellor
Actor Will Mellor is best known for his many acting roles over the last 30 years, including starring in soaps Hollyoaks and Coronation Street.
Will said: "I'm honestly so chuffed to be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this year! Not going to lie, it's totally out of my comfort zone and I know it will be a huge challenge but that's what life is all about ... bring it on!"
