Animal charity say cost of living means people cannot afford pets

Due to the rising cost of living at the moment, many animal charities are saying that some people can't afford to look after their pets.

A charity called Dogs Trust is asking families to look after pets for a short time, in what's called animal foster care.

It's hoped that foster care will mean pets that families can no longer afford will still be safe and looked after.
