If you've been to Leicester city centre recently, you may have spotted a spooky surprise or two lurking around - giant inflatable monsters.

The huge creatures are up to 8 metres in height and have started popping up on top of buildings. It's to form a trail around the area in the run up to Halloween.

There are nine monsters in total and the colourful beasts are aimed at attracting visitors to the city centre.

The playful glowing monsters all have their own names and include the likes of Slime Minister, Googly Glimpsers and Grim Fingers.

Some monsters have faces, while others - like Tentacle Terry here - are just hands or other limbs.

The trail opened on Monday and people can catch sight of the monsters for the next two weeks until 31 October.
