What would you do if a little badger cub tried to follow you home?

As tempting as it might be to try look after it yourself that is not a good idea.

Luckily when a young badger was spotted wandering around a churchyard in Bath someone did the right thing and called the local rescue centre.

She was taken to Secret World Wildlife Rescue and workers there are looking after her until she can be released back into the wild.

She has been named Martha and has been described as a "cheeky character".

Martha is currently being cared for at the rescue centre, where they hope to prepare her for life after she is released.

They believe this will be at the end of summer, but for now she is living quite the luxurious life with a diet that includes scrambled egg and sausages.

Those working at the centre say that Martha is doing well and is healthy.

She is now living in a large indoor pen with two other badgers called Ruby and Luke, this will help them to "bond as a family group and they will all be released together".

Martha looks a little bit different to most other badgers.

That's because she has a condition called erythrism.

This makes her fur a sandy red colour instead of the black and white.
