What's happened with the Downing street cats?
Sir Keir revealed during the election campaign that his son and daughter were hoping to get a German Shepherd dog if they moved into Downing Street.
However they finally settled on a new kitten.
"We are now getting a kitten instead of a dog," Sir Keir said.
He added that the decision was "an agreement after long negotiations".
We don't know the name of the new feline yet, but Sir Keir explained that his daughter had picked it up on Monday.
Downing Street has been home to many cats and dogs over the years - with every prime minister allowed to move their family pets into their official London home when they get the job.
However, Larry the cat started living at Downing Street in February 2011 and never left!
He is the first cat at Number 10 to be given the official title Chief Mouser.
The new Siberian kitten will be the third cat to currently live at Downing Street, after Sir Keir and his family moved into Downing Street with their own family rescue cat, JoJo.
