Fifa names world's best at football awards

Brazil and Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr has been named Fifa men's player of the year, with Spain and Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmati winning the women's award for the second year in a row.
Vinicius scored 24 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions to help Real Madrid win the Spanish league and Champions League double last season, he was also a scorer in the Champions League final.
The Brazilian won the award ahead of Spain and Manchester City midfielder Rodri who beat Vinicius to win the Ballon d'Or prize in October.
England midfielder and Vinicius' Real Madrid teammate Jude Bellingham came third.
"It seemed impossible when I played barefoot in the streets of Sao Goncalo and now I'm here," Vinicius said, talking about his life growing up in Brazil.

Bonmati wins the Fifa women's player of the year award
Bonmati won the Fifa women's player of the year award for the second year in a row, ahead of Zambia's Barbra Banda and Norway's Caroline Graham Hansen.
Bonmati also won the women's Ballon d'Or for the second year running in October.
The 26-year-old helped her club Barcelona win four trophies last season, she also scored in the semi-final and final when Spain won the Nations League in February.
"I'm very grateful for this award, but I always say that this is a team effort, with a Barca that won everything and the national team," Bonmati said.
Fifa's best coach awards
Meanwhile, English manager Emma Hayes won the best women's coach award, after she led the US women's team to a gold medal at this year's Olympic Games. Hayes took the job having taken Chelsea to a fifth WSL title in a row last season.
Real Madrid's Carlo Ancelotti won the best men's coach award.
Unlike other winners, both he and Vinicius were in Qatar for Tuesday's award ceremony because the Real Madrid team are playing in the Intercontinental Cup final against Mexican team, Pachuca on Wednesday.
Garnacho wins Puskas Award, for best goal
Meanwhile, Manchester United and Argentina midfielder Alejandro Garnacho won the Puskas Award, for best goal - after his spectacular overhead kick for United against Everton in the Premier League in November 2023.
