A huge benefit concert is taking place in California on Thursday night, to raise money for people affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.

The event will take place at two LA venues, with each show having a different line-up - one headlined by Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas who are from LA, and the other by pop legend Lady Gaga.

More than 20 artists from various genres are on the line-up in total.

The charity organisers, FireAid, have said that the money raised will go to short-term help and long-term efforts to prevent future fire disasters.

Billie has spoken on social media about the impact of the wildfires.

Writing on Instagram, she said that the area of Altadena in particular "is very close to our hearts... it was the backyard of our childhoods, and the families, businesses, nonprofits, and musicians there remain cornerstones in our lives".

Last year, Billie had the fifth best selling album in the UK.
