Arsenal reach Champions League final

Arsenal Women are going to a European final for the first time in 18 years.
The Gunners will face Spanish giants Barcelona in the Champions League final on Saturday, 24 May.
At the final whistle against eight-time winners Lyon on Sunday, all the players and manager Renee Slegers celebrated their amazing achievement on the pitch at Parc Olympique Lyonnais in France.

They had to produce a comeback after losing 2-1 at home in the first leg, but goals from Mariona Caldentey, Alessia Russo and Caitlin Foord, plus an own goal by Lyon's Christiane Endler, gave them the victory.
The final score was Lyon 1-4 Arsenal (Lyon 3-5 Arsenal on aggregate).
The last time the Gunners reached the final was in 2007 when they won the trophy.

The last time Arsenal were in the Champions League final, head coach Renee Slegers was playing in the youth academy set up at the club.
The 36-year-old took over the club in 2024 and praised her players after the match.
"We were unbelievable in a high-pressure moment against a top opponent," she said.
"How calm we were - there's so much work put into this game, I'm so happy.
"Delighted for everyone. It's euphoria, such a special moment. So happy and we need to celebrate these special moments but also stay humble and get ready for the next one."
