Strictly Come Dancing trailer released for 2024 series

The dancers will be performing to a medley of lots of different party classics in Strictly's launch show, including Saturday Night by Whigfield, 5,6,7,8 by Steps, and, as we hear in the trailer, the classic We Like To Party! (The Vengabus) by Vengaboys.

This year will see the return of Strictly legend Aljaž Škorjanec after a two year break to help celebrate 20 years of the show. Joining the professional dancers are celebrities like athlete and presenter Sam Quek, Gladiator Montell Douglas (aka Fire) and comedian Chris McCausland, who will be the very first blind contestant to compete in the UK series.

According to the show's producers, this 22nd series of Strictly will be the most accessible yet. For the first time, live signing of the show will be available on BBC iPlayer and Red Button. Sign language is used mainly by people who are deaf or experience hearing problems, and is a way of communicating using hands, facial expression, and body language. Audio description and subtitling options are continuing and will also be available to Strictly viewers.
