Audition rules for the new Harry Potter series?

To get your Hogwarts acceptance letter, HBO have set a few requirements all muggles must meet before they can audition.

Entrants need to be between the ages of 9-11 in April 2025 and a resident of the UK or Ireland.

You don't need to look like the movie characters, HBO says it's committed to inclusive and diverse casting.

To audition you need to send HBO two videos by Halloween 2024.

What are the instructions for Harry Potter audition videos?

The details for the auditions are available from the show makers HBO and Warner Brothers but you're asked to prepare a short poem or story for a 30-second video.

It can be from your favourite book, a poem that you love, or something you’ve created yourself - but nothing from Harry Potter.

For the second video, the instructions say you need to record a bit about yourself, to describe any family member, or a pet.

HBO say you can record the videos in any clothes and it should be filmed in landscape, with your head and shoulders taking up the frame - against a plain background.
