Triple Olympic and world champion Usain Bolt dipped below 10 seconds for the first time this year, recording 9.98 seconds in Poland to set an unofficial world best for an indoor 100m.

It was only the 28-year-old's second individual 100m of the season after a foot injury disrupted his year.

He made his competitive return at the Commonwealth Games, guiding Jamaica to 4x100m relay gold.

The world record holder will next compete on Thursday in Zurich.

Bolt, who was running at the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial meeting, will line up against Britons Adam Gemili and James Dasaolu at the Diamond League in Switzerland. , external
