The USA will play a friendly against Great Britain in Manchester, with NBA stars LeBron James and Kobe Bryant included in the American squad.

The sides will meet at the Manchester Evening News Arena on 19 July, a day after the women's teams clash.

The fixtures are part of both nations' preparations for the London Olympics, with the basketball competition starting on 28 July.

The USA won gold in the men's and women's events at Beijing in 2008.

The men's team will also take on Argentina, Brazil, Dominican Republic and Spain as part of their exhibition schedule.

Jerry Colangelo, USA Basketball chairman and national team managing director, said: "We have again scheduled an extremely challenging line-up of exhibition opponents."
